Beach front lodge – Inhassoro

Inhassoro is situated about 700 km north of Maputo on the mainland across Bazaruto Archipelago ad about 80 km from Vilanculos. Inhassoro is a small rural town, facilitating two banks (BCI and Millennium), some governmental offices, police station, restaurants, bakery, fuel filling station and the local market.

The lodge is situated on the beach front about 3 km north of Inhassoro and can easily be reached by sand road, (4 x 4 not needed) and is fenced with SABS standard CCA treated timber for durability and privacy. The beach is easily accessible by 4 x 4 (for boat launching) and on foot using 96 steps.

Power is supplied by EDM and is quite stable. The power installation is done to accommodate a generator for emergency situations.

All the geysers are gas operated. Gas is locally available.

Permanent water supply (borehole) is enough to supply the lodge and garden. Water is annually tested and is suitable for human consumption.

All buildings, outbuildings (log-profiled), walkways and decks are built from SA Pine, treated as the above with locally obtained “jeka” thatched roofs.  All the chalets, arranged in a semi-circle with sea view, are surrounded by an established, well-kept flourishing garden. The buildings are linked by timber walkways.

The lodge comprises of:

• 4 x 2-sleeper chalets (Single or king size beds, with mosquito nets), en suite (toilet, basin, shower, dressing room)
• 1 x family unit (sleeps 6) with 2 x 2-sleeper bedrooms, one bathroom. The kitchenette/dining area is furnished with two day beds (standard single). The unit is equipped with crockery, cutlery, utensils and cooking ware for 6 guests, refrigerator, freezer, gas stove with oven, microwave oven.

A communal kitchen/sitting/dining room, BBQ lapa and pool area are surrounded by timber decks. The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery, utensils and cooking ware for 8 people. It is also equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, gas stove with oven, microwave.

There is an outbuilding with the reception, 2 storerooms, laundry with washing machine,  shower, toilet en sitting room for the staff (Day staff : 2 men, 2 women. Night staff: 2 guards),two motor/boat shelters, fish cleaning facilities and gantry.

The lodge is registered in a company and the title deed has been issued in the name of the company and includes Tourism Business license (Alvara). All administration and financial statements (tax clearance certificate issued), are up to date and comply with requirements and standards as set by the Mozambique Government.
